Alyshia Maciel has a 6-year history in emergency department healthcare as a Scribe and Substance Use Navigator. She has worked very closely with providers, ensuring proper care and initiation of medication assisted treatment (MAT) for patients of substance use. Her mission as Regional Lead Navigator is for all patients encountering a substance use navigator in a crisis state leave the hospital with a sense of purpose and reassurance that they have support in navigating their personal healthcare journeys successfully.
